I was telling my students about the advantages of using a mobile phone. When I was in the state of excitement during my speech, my mobile phone started to ring. Quickly I shut it off and continues my speech. The mobile phone rang again. Having made an apology to the students, I spoke to the phone, “Hello! You want me to get the sack? Don't you know I'm giving a lesson now? Please never call me while I'm giving a lecture.” Then I turned off the phone.
A moment later, the mobile phone rang again. I was so angry that I powered off the mobile phone.
I then said to the class —
Just now I introduced the advantages of using a mobile phone, but now you see that there are quite a few disadvantages of using it. Besides the fact that it interferes with our daily work, can you name some other disadvantages of using a mobile phone?
Important note here: Do you know how come the phone rings at that moment? It is quite easy — the teacher has already asked in advance one of the students in class to dial his/her phone at that RIGHT moment! It is only the teacher's clever trick!
